Tonight is our off week league meeting/race at Lanier, sorry if I confused people had Langley on the schedule but it was always supposed to be Lanier. We are going to use this as an opportunity to test out a custom heat race format that I have come up with that will hope to use on some short tracks later in the season.
We are also going to have our league meeting tonight at 8:45, this will be pretty brief just want to make sure that we have a chance to answer any questions that might come along with the format changes that are going to be in this new ARCA series starting on the 11th.
For tonight the Heat format will be as follows...
22 drivers max(we currently have 21 members)
Pole time goes straight to the A main.
2 heats of up to 11 cars at a time 30 laps each, top 4 advance.
B main of the up to 13 remaining cars 40 laps, winner advances to A main.
A main 10 cars for 60 laps.
cautions are on, but caution laps don't count
no tire changes, 1 fast fix.
This setup does NOT have an inversion, that might be something we do later depending on how this goes.
This system only really works if we get close to the 21 drivers we have in the league show up, system might not work as well if our turnout is low. We will have to see how it goes. I have never run any heat races in Iracing so I have no idea how its going to play out. This is a learning process for us so lets try to stay open minded.
See ya on track.
